Refund Policy

Effective date: 2025-09-13

 

This Refund Policy explains when and how we issue refunds for purchases made on jvdt.net (lessons and JVDT support materials). If anything is unclear, please email learn@jvdt.net and we’ll help.

1) What this covers

 

  • Digital resources you purchase and download (e.g., lesson plans, slides, templates, PDFs, audio/video).

  • Live online lessons / workshops you book for a specific date and time.

 

This policy does not affect your statutory rights (for example, under EU/UK consumer law).

2) Digital resources (downloads)

 

Before you download/access

 

  • You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not accessed or downloaded the file(s).

 

After you download/access

 

  • Once a digital item has been accessed, downloaded, or streamed, refunds are not available (digital content is considered “consumed” once delivered).

  • If a file is defective or not as described, email us within 14 days of purchase. We will replace the file promptly. If we cannot provide a working replacement within a reasonable time, we’ll issue a full refund.

 

Duplicate purchases

 

  • If you accidentally bought the same item twice and haven’t accessed both copies, we’ll refund the duplicate on request.

3) Live online lessons / workshops

 

You cancel

 

  • 24+ hours before the scheduled start: full refund or 100% credit (your choice).

  • Less than 24 hours before start: 50% credit (no cash refund).

  • No-show: not refundable.

 

We cancel or reschedule

 

  • If we cancel for any reason, you may choose a full refund or a 100% credit toward another date.

 

Late arrival

 

  • We’ll do our best to adjust, but sessions end at the booked time and are not refundable if shortened due to late arrival.

4) EU/UK right of withdrawal (cooling-off)

 

For consumers in the EU/UK:

 

  • Digital content (not on a tangible medium): you have a 14-day right to withdraw until you start downloading/streaming. When you choose “download now” (or similar), you agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge losing the right of withdrawal for that item.

  • Scheduled services (lessons): you have a 14-day withdrawal right. If you ask the service to start during that period, you may pay a pro-rata amount for the part already delivered. Our cancellation windows above are designed to be fair and clear.

5) How to request a refund or credit

 

Email learn@jvdt.net with:

 

  • Subject: Refund request

  • Your name and email used for purchase

  • Order number and item(s)

  • Brief reason (e.g., duplicate, defective file, cancellation timing)

 

If the request is approved, we refund to your original payment method. Credits, when chosen, are applied to your account/email for future bookings or purchases.

 

Processing time: we initiate refunds within 3 business days; your bank/card provider may take 5–10 business days to post funds. Currency conversion or bank fees are not controlled by us.

6) Fair use & exceptions

 

We may decline or limit refunds where we detect:

 

  • clear misuse (e.g., repeated purchases and refunds after download),

  • resale or redistribution of materials in breach of our license, or

  • fraud.

 

We will always explain our reasoning and seek a fair resolution.
