Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on 2025-09-13.
We at JVDT Learning Hub are working to make jvdt.net accessible to people with disabilities.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site lets visitors with disabilities browse with the same (or similar) ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This is achieved through the capabilities of the device/browser and with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers, speech input), supported by accessible site design.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
We aim to follow the WCAG 2.2, Level AA guidelines and improve continuously. The site is designed to work with assistive tech and keyboard-only navigation. Steps we’ve taken include:
-
Clear page titles and logical heading structure on all pages
-
Language of the site set for assistive technologies
-
Consistent navigation and predictable content order
-
Visible focus indicators and keyboard access for interactive elements
-
Alternative text for meaningful images
-
Color combinations with sufficient contrast; no meaning conveyed by color alone
-
Reduced motion where feasible, and respect for “prefers-reduced-motion” settings
-
Captions or transcripts for key videos/audio (expanding coverage over time)
-
Preference for web pages over PDFs; accessible versions on request
We use a mix of automated checks and manual reviews to find and fix issues.
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content
Some pages may include third-party embeds (e.g., video players or maps) that we do not control. These components may not fully meet WCAG criteria. Examples include certain blog posts or resource pages when media is embedded. For alternatives or support, please contact us (see below).
Accessibility arrangements in the organization
We primarily provide services online and do not operate public-facing premises. If you need an accessible format of any material, we’ll do our best to provide it promptly.
